Camp Mountain Residence

After

The owners of this 1970's residence, engaged MD Interiors to assist with the renovation of their ensuite and main bathroom.  The client wanted to create modern, bright, open plan spaces, as both bathrooms had limited natural light.

In the ensuite, an old unused cupboard was removed and the toilet relocated to this space.  This allowed for a large walk in shower to be incorporated. A new vanity was custom designed and blue elongated subway tiles laid in a herringbone pattern were used for a feature wall, to add a pop of colour and luxury. White wall tiles were used on the remainder of the walls to reflect the light and make the space appear brighter.

The main bathroom footprint was increased by utilising the space from an adjoining hall cupboard.  A walk in shower and freestanding bath tub sit opposite the custom vanity.  The walls of the toilet were removed to let more light into the space and a small vertical wood slat screen was installed to provide some privacy.  A playful pop of colour was introduced through the use of multicoloured penny rounds.

MD Interiors was asked to assist with the renovation of the original early 2000's master ensuite in this residence. The client wished to create a light, bright, modern ensuite, remove the old corner bath and update the plumbing fixtures, fittings, vanity and tiles.

Removing the corner bath created a larger footprint for this ensuite and a sleek freestanding bath was installed in its place.  A small vertical wood slat screen was installed between the end of the bath and the toilet to provide some privacy and visual separation.

After

In 2014, the owners of this residence requested MD Interiors assist with the complete renovation of their home built in 2003.  The scope of this project also incorporated the master bedroom ensuite and main bathroom.  The layout of the master bedroom ensuite was altered to square off angled walls.  A new toilet area was built and the old bath was removed to create a large walk in shower.  The large window was removed and a fixed pane window and louvres were installed to provide privacy while showering.  The client wanted a serene neutral colour palette in their ensuite, so a mixture of neutral tiles were installed to create visual contrast.  A large custom vanity, new plumbing fixtures and feature lighting completed this ensuite.

The master bathroom was used by the client's visiting grandchildren and the introduction of colour was a must.  A beautiful mix of feature blue Bisazza tiles was used to inject a pop of colour.  A custom vanity, new shower screen and plumbing fixtures were installed to finish.
